I used to use what many other people use and that is that horrible Norton Antivirus that takes control of your PC and strangles it! One day a good friend of mine in the beautiful US state of Washington, in the Pacific northwest, suggested I try this software because this is what hackers use, and hackers know what they are doing when it comes to security, wouldn’t you say?
After having to download a special uninstall tool from Norton’s website I finally got rid of it forever and have never let it near any of my PCs again. When I installed ESET Smart Security 4 it was as if my PCs had a new lease of life breathed into them! They woke up! ESET feels “so light” and with seemless real time updating you know you are always safe from those pesky viruses out there. It is a fantastic bit of software and I highly recommend it. I have 3 copies! |
This is an extract from ESET’s website:

Nice article – and glad to see you’ve finally joined the blogging world – and you got it up and running so quickly – you must have one great service provider
I’ve been using AVG since they first released back in the early 90′s and I’m still using it on all my personal machines.
I also tried Microsoft’s Security Essentials when they first released and it ran quite unobtrusively and used very little resources, it also updates itself regularly. In fact, Lifehacker gave it quite a good review, here.
Thanks for your comments boet. I really didn’t get this blogging business before now, but now you cannot get me off here!
I see you have no criticism of my comments regarding Norton Antivirus.
We agree on that which is good.
My ISP is fantastic but the person that helped me get this blog up and running on his own servers is better than that! I am very grateful.
BTW, Robin is interested in hosting – I mentioned it to him last night on Skype and he did not know that you were involved in it.
Yeah, I’m in agreement with you on Norton – back in the day it was great but it’s become very bloated and more of a hindrance especially with it’s incompatibility with many applications, than anything else.
It’s good you’ve put a link back to the person’s blog, that helped you – I’m sure they’re appreciative, they probably already have a link back to yours
Get Robin to gimme a shout, let me hear what he’s interested in and we can see what we can do.
